I think the main thing the analyst was trying to say is that the beta(actually a beta 2), at this point in time prior to the release of the final product, is much more unstable for being a beta2 product being readied for release and doesn't work with many of the applications/peripherals that it needs to work with.

That is it. I've used previous betas of Windows. Vista is the most unstable. Had to remove it within a week.
