The THING IS.......All that would have pretty much happened ANYWAY if Carter had been reelected.

As it says there....Carter WAS the guy that put Volker at the head of the FED.

He didn't appoint Volker to keep rates low and let inflation run. He put him there to do EXACTLY what he did.

The big difference between Carter and Reagan is that Reagan TRIPLED our national debt and Carter WOULDN'T have.

It took the country 200 years to get to ONE trillion in debt, but it only took Reagan 8 years to get it to THREE trillion in debt.

Reagan was the beginning of the END for the U.S. Clinton gave us a reprieve and a chance for renewal but then the MORON Bush Jr. finished us off.
