Sorry, I was speaking of the global green house gas reduction treaty which just concluded in Kyoto Japan. In it, the US pledges to reduce production of CO2, etc. to 7% below 1990 levels. No methods for accomplishing this feat were discussed but obviously it would require draconian regulations and massive energy taxes. Industry would flee to places exempt from these treaty provisions like Brazil and most of the third world. China and India did not sign. This congress will never ratify it.

Pick up any newspaper for details, it's the big story of the week and it will be discussed ad nauseum for the next 5 years.
