Some people are smart enough so that they don't have to work at apprentice jobs for 4 years or more. They are called quick studies. Have you ever met any?

Perhaps there are a few. But real world results show that most who get high paid jobs without working the lower paid jobs, make a mess of things. So it would be better if all worked the lower paid jobs first. The military demands it. You don't get out of college, even military school and become a General. But you can be a CEO or high level politician right out of school. Perhaps we should amend the Constitution that all Federal elected officials work a normal job (not as a lawyer) for at least 4 years.
