I always take "but he MUST have seen me" arguments with a grain of salt. Had that Israeli reconaissance plane not buzzed that ship at least 1/2 dozen times at mast level, I could concur with your statement. Reconnaissance is sent out for a purpose, and they don't just ignore the reports issued by such planes. The plane went out, and must have made official identification of the Liberty at that height unless the pilot was blind... Had that event not occurred, the standard "fog of war" theory would hold far more water. Hawk
