I agree with you in this regard. There are many voices that speak for each side.

My guess is that given enough resources, each side could make things work. Of course you would have to filter out all the whackos on each side. The ones that have hidden agendas. They exist on both sides.

The reality however is that there is only one voice right now that counts - and that is whatever George W Bush is thinking about for the moment.

The problem is that he probably does not think too deeply on any subject and he would have to rely on some one else. Even there, however, you still would have to think sufficiently rigorously enough to choose the best strategy from people on your side.

I am afraid that George W. Bush is not up to that task.
