Hi Jim,

I see the discussions growing on this thread - a sentiment indicator for S.T. turn around in the recent plunge?

Say, I know you are always strong in your statements not to include a look at indices (DJIA, COMPX, etc.) in your decision making, but any thoughts about the Value Line Arithmetic Index. Since it is not a weighted index like the others, it gives a much better feel for what is actually happening to the majority of stocks. It's currently about 780, which is where it was in June 1997 (ouch!).

Don't dig into me too hard for asking.
