VISION SYSTEMS’ POLARIZING SOLUTION IN DASSAULT’S SMS PROJECT UNVEILED AT NBAA LAS VEGAS System supplier for Dassault Aviation since 2005, Vision Systems participates in Dassault’s Super Mid Size (SMS) project with its polarizing solution Nuance Dual for the “zenith window”. Dassault’s new aircraft presented at NBAA will feature a roof window at the cabin entrance allowing a skylight in this area. Furthermore, Vision Systems will equip cabin windows with manual and motorized shades.
Vision Systems’ solar protection solution Nuance Dual is based on Research Frontiers’ SPD technology (suspended particle device). It offers instant and precise control through the Cabin Management System to regulate the amount of light and heat transmitted through the window. “We are delighted to take part of this exciting project. On the strength of our successful collaboration with Dassault for cockpit solar protection solutions and the 1st smart solution, Eclipse, for the shower window on the F7X, we are proud to provide Dassault with our latest innovations.” stated Jérôme Monvaillier, Managing Director, Vision Systems Aeronautics. Nuance Dual is part of a complete range of solar protection systems. Vision Systems’ smart dimmable windows can be controlled through a control panel directly on the window or on personal devices (tablet, smartphone). These solutions are suitable for retrofit and new constructions, glass or thermoplastic, flat or curved windows. Easy to maintain (integrated electronics) and lightweight for increased fuel efficiency, they also enable lower cooling costs as they are dark when unpowered. A new and unique smart dimmable solution is Energia, an autonomous transparent photovoltaic window. This green solution integrates SunPartner Technologies’ Wysips Glass® technology, which transforms any support into a self-powered surface, from the sun or artificial lighting. Motorized pleated and roller shades as well as cockpit sun blinds and sun visors come and complete Vision Systems’ solar protection range, presented at NBAA at Vision Systems’ stand, central hall 9522. |
