To All : You can skip the pep talk and go directly to the bottom, if you prefer:
>>Third, most of Amatians are diehard fans rather than objective investors and they are not open to different opinions<<
I'm always open to a different opinions, providing those who can show me that the company(s) they wish to promote, can equal the underlying fundamentals of Amati. I feel that other companies in this game began a follower the leader approach, and the race began. A company can have all the capital it needs, manufacturing around the world, but it doesn't mean a thing if they don't have the formula or vision and plan to achieve a goal which you can not yet visualize. A chess match is an excellent example, You have an opponent which has never played in a tournament before, no past records of play so you can plan your strategy. His first 3 moves do not look to threating, yet you've never seen an opponent make these opening moves before. Is he a naive amateur or has he found a winning your strategy that leads you into a false sense of security.
>>Second, I found some Amatians are betting based on rumours, big name professors, "sexy" company name and some other nonsense<<.
Yea, I know what your saying here, as I tend to go off the deep end occasionally with a song or two. Luckily I try not to hype, and remain focused on facts and sound principles. Otherwise I might be tempted to put out stuff like the following:
Amati has modems in trial with MCI, GTE/MSFT.
Now BT & MCI are one, and suddenly " BT, MCI and Microsoft Announce New Initiative To Develop Global Intranet Services "
No BT & MCI did not call their new combined division Amati, Overture, Symphony, or some other "sexy" name they call it "Concert"..
I bought tickets in January, I have an extra seat near the String Section.
