risk-adjusted returns
LOL. And pray how do you measure the "risk" in risk-adjusted returns? Are you saying that you or Mike actually knows the risk of investing in an almond farm and can quantify it? I could ask the same question about SP500 - what is the risk in investing in SP500? (Just don't say stdev/volatility cause that's just egghead substitute for risk, it's not really risk).

A very poor return indeed on a risk-adjusted basis
This is nonsense. Investing into SP500 after 2009 was a great investment and probably one of the lowest risk investments ever. (Valuation is much higher now, so things are different).

The zero interest-rate policy... etc. etc.
I did not agree with Mike's political views and rants around the 2008-2009 crisis. I don't agree with him now either. He sees only negatives everywhere.

Market may go down. We may have recession. Neither will be the end of the world.
