Indexit. re: nyse specialists. Thats why I hate trading NYSE stocks. Its bad enough to have lousy fills with MMs on Nas stocks, but I think the specialists are worse. What we need is to obsolete all specialists and MMs and utilize only ECNs. The new proposed Montage ECNs system looks promising, but of of course the big guys like Instinet strongly oppose the idea and we know why.
