Ignoring the issue would create a Constitutional Crisis. The MSM trying to sweep it under the rug just makes the problem worse when it is ruled on. Uninformed people will be upset if he is blocked and it could make every race riot of the past seem miniscule. A liberal majority would sweep it like Souter tried to. Kennedy is the swing vote on this. Thomas, Alito and Roberts are all contructionists. If the guy can't serve they would rather deal with the consequences of being legal than undermine the Constitution. You are welcome for the history lesson.
