The way I read the article, CheckFree is still doing bill pay for Crestar, but consumers are not signing up directly with CheckFree, they go through the bank. I imagine when a consumer signs up directly with CF, it requires more information, location, etc., in addition banks are not involved in these CF/consumer relationships, and they want to be, Banks want control over everything.
