How many shares is this $33 commission difference attributable to? 1,000 shares? = 3.3 cents. Personally, I would not "day-trade" unless I am making some good returns. I don't mind sharing a little with my broker friend, so long as my house is bigger than his and my swimming pool is deeper. It is good to have a relationship with a broker even if you trade online (as I do). You never know when you need to DTC some shares to relatives or you need to sell some unlisted warrants.
