SI Bob obviously saw the need for "parental supervision".

Moderating people off of threads because you disagree with their ideas is simply censorship. He pointed out that AMD was a probably the best example of how a moderated thread should be run. There are plenty of naysayers (depending on whether you are long or shot) on that thread. I would never read a stock thread that had all opposing views moderated off. I'm certainly not overly concerned about it though. I believe that most "moderated" of the ill-conceived variety eventually die out or just dwindle to a few posters. As they should.
