The post you quote was originated by ME based on my interpretation of yesterday's HP imaging news, which can be found at biz.yahoo.com. The news did however suggest that the FlashPix technical protocol for imaging on PCs, developed by HP, Kodak, et al, will be supported by the HP initiative. Some of Kodak's cameras, including the DC120 which is FlashPix enabled, are compatible with CF. I believe this, and the planned compatibility with multiple formats is promising. Obviously the market liked something about the news -- perhaps others will comment too.

Your recollection that PhotoSmart uses Miniature Card is correct. But consider the number of cameras that have designed-in CF v. manufacturers that have announced plans for Miniature Card. SanDisk has a list of manufacturers with cameras that are compatible with CF on their website, but I've not been able to access it tonight. Give it a try. From what seen the design-ins of CF for cameras are far greater in number than any other flash card manufacturer, and probably more than all combined.
