It's more adventurous to take a tramp steamer. :) OTOH, when the Gulf Stream collapses and Great Britain and Scandanavia fall into a new Ice Age, there will be plenty of empty seats and cheap fares on one way tickets to the icebox. I just watched "The Big Chill" bbc.co.uk This scenario is definitely not science fiction. It's happened in the past. The question is how rapidly it can happen today. Recent science indicates that this 2003 production is not at all out of the realm of what is possible.
