sheesh man. Every time I think the Patty Hearst-era Berkeley has completely exited my psyche now that I am a fervent capitalist, articles like that, or "How the rise of social media caused the Arab spring" pop up and I'm right back at Sather Gate ducking the tear gas. Patty Hearst happened when I was a child but I remember it because it happened here. I took summer school classes at Cal in the early 80s as a high school student and the atmosphere was still very 60s...until Bill Joy left for Sun, and Stonebraker founded Ingres :)
