Tony professional traders of semi's have given up on the BTB
as have the professionals in the industry.Hence BTB will no
longer be gathered by SIA.Dram volatility and Intel's lack
of CPU shipments makes the number to difficult to be an
accurate gauge of business.
It is interesting that if you go back to the days of weak BTB
numbers the bulls dismissed the data as being worthless
because dram prices were falling and giving the rest of the industry
a poor reading of business. Now that the numbers on the surface
seem to be better suddenly this data is important.
The market will move because the herd likes techs right now but
a poor showing by a group of semi companies in the next quarter
if it happens will turn a lot of people off and if you add a
poor showing in the personal PC sector if it happens will
be a one two punch.

Regards Jerry
