Tim, that's a good blog article, but one can apply the accusation to conservatives arguing against anything that remotely reflects socialism. Many liberals on this thread deny being socialists. In their view, even the most extreme of Obama's proposals would only carry us halfway to Europe. The difference IMO is that with liberalism and socialism, giving government increased power to fix society's ills is a slippery slope. Liberals may deny it, but when Democrats start talking about stupid things like regulating the amount of salt in our foods ... myfoxny.com ... you know we're already headed down that slope.
