Yes, married heterosexual couples have a few benefits that unmarried people don't have.

I don't understand your response. You said that homosexual couples don't need to be married to pursue their lifestyle. I countered that heterosexual couples don't need to be married to pursue their lifestyle. Which seems pretty obvious to me.

You responded that society provides benefits to married heterosexual couples because of their stabilizing role in society. Yes, that's so, but I don't know what that has to do with heterosexual couples needing to be married to pursue their lifestyle. All you have to do is move in together and have a couple of kids to pursue that lifestyle. You don't need to get married. With few exceptions, we can all pursue any lifestyle we choose without regard to marital status. I can't imagine how the needs of a homosexual couple with kids are different from those of a heterosexual couple with kids. Likewise couples without kids. A couple is a couple and a family is a family in terms of needs.

By the way, I keep getting an error message about some program called kholt.exe that fails on my computer.

If that's a joke, then that's not obvious to me, either. :)
