wanna bmw - I was living in SF during most of the bubble. Many of my colleagues left 'safer' ad agencies to go to dotcoms. I met people at almost every internet consulting company in the bay area, most of them driving BMWs and sipping belvedere martinis. I think most of them are drinking Pabst again, and moving from the Marina back down to south of Market or the East Bay.

You know, a lot of my friends who have survived are purchasing lots of stock (you can purchase 'lots of stock' when it's selling for twenty cents). Their feeling is that when the economy picks back up, the ones still standing will do quite well. I can't argue, most of the survivors are very sharp folks. The internet ain't goin away.
