When the hand-wringing Demoncrat's l'il buddies, the "..U-gotta-bribe-me-N..", get off their ineffectual arses and get a resolution out, it will be handy to have the Saudi's come in and help in Iraq. They are pretty damn effective at dealing with wacko-ragheads....

Two wanted Saudis killed in confrontation in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, Local, 4/24/2004

The Saudi Arabian police said that two men suspected to be among a list of 26 wanted by the Saudi authorities In Jeddah were killed..

One official in the Saudi police said that one of the wanted detonated himself during the chase, while the police was able to kill another. The spokesman added that one Saudi police man was killed in the confrontations and that the police are now chasing a second car.

The confrontation took place hours after the exchange of fire with suspected people besieged in a building in Gaza on Thursday evening resulted in killing three Saudi armored gunmen. A source in the Saudi police said that two of the wanted on the security list were among the three killed by the security forces on Thursday evening during clashes in Jeddah.

The source indicated that the two wanted are the Saudis Mustafa Ibrahim Mubaraki, and Ahmad Abdul Rahman al-Fadli. The two names are listed on the lists which was reduced to 22 names since its issuance in December 2003 following the killing of three in clashes with the security forces and the fourth handing over himself to the authorities.

According to the Saudi police, by the killing of Mubaraki and al-Dadli the number of wanted decreased to 20. However, the security forces had besieged a residential building in Um al-Qura street in al-Safa quarters to the northern east of Jeddah over suspicion that there are wanted in it, noting that gunmen inside the building opened fire at the security forces which retaliated.

The incident comes after the blowing off a booby trapped car in front of one of security departments in Riyadh resulted in killing five persons and wounding other 145. A statement by the ministry of the interior said that the number of killings increased after the death of one security member Ibrahim Bin Mubarak al-Dousari, from the public traffic department.

The ministry said that it was able to recognize three of the bodies, which are for the police col. Abdul Rahman Abdullah Saleh, the Saudi civil employee Ibrahim Nasser and the Saudi girl Wejdan Nasser al-Kandari ( 11 year old) who was playing in her house courtyard near the site and was hit by the shelling.

The Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah said on Thursday that these attacks will be firmly challenged until eliminated, while the Saudi minister of the interior Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz said that what he had called terrorist cells "are behind the booby trapped car attack."
