A clever idea! It would have protected the fruit from alien takeovers. You are obviously well read on the topic of the diabolical and insidious methods aliens can use to get to our minds.
Ah- if only Emily had known about tin foil before her possession. Her poetry would have probably read like Atlas Shrugged. oh well, objectivism's loss, literature's gain.
