3. They are in areas of fundamental technology which support applications across the whole of technology and the economy;

4. They are in markets that have traditionally grown and are expected to grow 20 - 25%, far more rapidly than most;

5. They have sustainable competitive advantages and significant barriers to entry.

6. I believe their management is in the tradition of Hewlett and Packard. Honest, hardworking, concerned with the welfare of employees, customers, community, and shareholders.
