I think it a HORRIBLE mistake that we didnt FLATTEN Falujah. Lets face it, many Iraqi's no longer like us and are going to bad mouth us NO MATTER what we do. This is caused IMHO by two things. 1. We are DRAGGING this affair out by being too mealy mouthed. Arabs IMHO respect power and might. SMASH the opposition and they will respect us, coddle them and we are just a bunch of softies. Proof, we bombed the shit out of Iraq, we smashed their Armies and anyone in between, YET they greeted us with flowers and candy. 2. We are allowing the clerics to shoot off their mouths, harbor weapons etc etc. SHUT THEM DOWN. Issue an edict, ANYONE of ANY STATION who harbors terrorists, weapons or badmouths out policy WILL BE ARRESTED. We must use BRUTAL FORCE, get this government installed then get the hell out of the cities and bivouac in the countryside using air power and occassionally STRONG ARMED SALLIES into any area that gives the new govt a problem. Ignore what the world has to say about that policy, the world AINT FIGHTING THIS BATTLE. jdn
