Dick, Today I was driving home from the Maryland vs. Wake Forest game. I was deep in contemplation trying to visualize what a Wake Forest is/was. I’m familiar with an Irish Wake but I was having trouble visualizing a Wake Forest. While I’m cruising along my super secret route to avoid game traffic some boob in a Mercedes pulls out of a shopping center in front of me completely ignoring that most normal drivers exceed the speed limit by about 20 mi/hr. I realized immediately that he was floater. You know the type, one of those drivers who floats out of a parking lot or a side street only to slow down and float along about 5 miles/hr under the limit. I should not have had those additional five beers while tailgating after the game. Four would have been enough and I wouldn’t be late for five o’clock Saturday Mass. The only Mass where I can wear my Turtle suit (go Terps) without making waves. If I miss, it’s suit and tie on Sunday. As I passed this guy in the Mercedes on the shoulder he was not watching the road, he had his hand raised holding a cell phone trying to dial one handed.
