Ok, I'll agree that playing a stock you know is a wise move. That combined with the ability to call changes in direction for the overall market would make trading that stock a fairly safe bet. It's rare for a stock to trade beyond the influence of the market as a whole, so if you get the market direction correct and the stock doesn't surprise you with big news (good or bad) you'll make money trading.

Just not my game I guess. Fortunately I've held MSFT for a lot longer than 2 years.
