I don't think the move on Saudi Arabia will be military. Mecca and Medina are just some of the reasons against a military attack. I think it will be an economic, political attempt to have the Saud royal family move away from supporting the radical muslims in positions of power.

Opening the oil fields of Iraq to 100% production gives the US a much stronger bargaining position with the Saud's.
