I don't think PlayStation or any other gaming platform is keeping up with Xbox in this respect. Am I correct?

Dave, I'm confused by the article you quoted. Why does Microsoft need "alliance" with NTT in order to use XBox over broadband? Surely you just need an Ethernet connector and some software. Or is Microsoft going to make some sort of combination XBox and ADSL modem device? Or is this just one of those meaningless marketing announcements? (you know, like the one about how proud Microsoft is that Aetna is going to install Windows servers in their headquarters without mentioning the quid-pro-quo where Aetna provides Microsoft's employee medical insurance benefits at inflated prices)

Anyway, to more directly answer your question, PlayStation 2 and DreamCast support Ethernet cards, and those consoles are shipping NOW, so I guess they're a little bit ahead of XBox there.

Dave
