14:58 ET Amgen sells off on Wyeth rumor (AMGN) 50.66 +0.28: We are hearing Street talk that WYE has plans to sell 20 mln shares of AMGN tomorrow after the lockup expires (recall that WYE owns about 7.5% of AMGN as a result of AMGN's acquisition of Immunex, and has filed its intention to sell 98.28 mln AMGN shares). Bear in mind also that this has been a recurring rumor this week, and has not been confirmed.

This did cause a nearly 2 1/2 buck drop in AMGN. When this news of Wyeth possible selling was first exposed a couple weeks ago, it was met with a nearly 15% drop to Amgen's recent low. I am gonna keep talking about this stock til I'm right, okay? Thank you all for your patience <g>
