bid/ask sizes only reflect the immediate pricepoint. There could be 500,000 bid 1/16 below the curent bid, but you wouldn't know it. That's alot of buying support.
The panic which has continuously been prognosticated here did not occur. BTB is not a serious investor/trader tool, but merely a secondary, confirming indicator. The big moves on that number were the ones showing turnaround in trend (ie .95 to 1.5). Now that the trend is up, people are looking closer at the actual figures which don't compare well with last year.
