Stitch,

I just think there's already been a tornado or sunami -- at least last time I checked. Where is the capitalization of Malaysia's and the Phillipine's stock markets in dollar terms with respect to the same 1 1/2 years ago. Malaysia's has to be down over 85 or 90% in dollars terms.

Your metaphor is more aptly applied to the markets of the US and Europe, IMO. These are priced like there will never be a rainstorm again. Recent history in these markets indicate that you can buy and hold for less than a year to have wonderful profits -- I think some folks are getting ready to be disappointed.

Someone buying some of the SEA countries now with a 3 - 5 year time horizon is not necessarily nuts or macho. I wouldn't put all my eggs over there -- I'm mostly cash, but I am somewhat of a contrarian.

Have you checked our trade deficit with these countries lately?

Do you know if American companies are staying away from capital investments in these countries?

Good luck and regards,
Tippet
