In the 60s we placed a blockade around Cuba. Threaten a superior power and you get actions like that.

Sure in the 60s the threat was worse since it was nukes, but Israel didn't only face a threat but actual attack from the rockets in Gaza. When the US has faced actual attack, we've tended to respond rather harshly, ask some elderly Japanese about our response to Pearl Harbor, which BTW included sinking merchant vessels going to Japan, some of which contained non-military items like food. It was essentially a blockade of Japan through nearly unrestricted submarine warfare. Far harsher than what Israel has done in blockading Gaza.


The US wasn't preventing Cuba from being free. Israel treats the territories like they are their personal property. The Israelis steal their water and their land. How you, an American, can not see the injustice is beyond me.
