Advice!!! I am always thrilled (NOT!) when I reread one of my posts and find that I have not only lost my math skills but my ability to spell as well.

In the Schaeffer's weekend update there was a chart showing the cumulative NYSE New Highs/New Lows. I will show the chart below:



I think the cumulative version of this chart has been wrongly used by bulls everywhere for as long as it has been around. The much better view is the NYSE Non Cumulative New Highs/New Lows. Bottom line neither chart is all that useful except to show a trend. Look for divergences to help decide how likely the trend is to change.
