Heard on CNN yesterday, Deutsche Telekom is going to merge with Telecom Italia and becomes the largest telecommunication company in Europe. As Deutsche Telekom is in the driver's seat, it is likely that the computer system will be set according to the German standards. In other words, Software On Command from ONTC that Deutshe Telekom is using to control their >100,000 computers will be introduced into the Italian system. Therefore, the chance for ONTC to open a new market in Italy is very likely.
