Paul, I just re-read HCRs news release about Anglo's gemstone deposit. They've given more details about the size of the iolite deposit than anything I could find in Anglo previously released information. They mention that one outcrop could conservatively contain 1% gem grade or 10,000,000 (yes that's 10 million) carats, with a value of US $50 to 150 per carat. No wonder the exchange halted them and had them put out a much more detailed release. However, they didn't back down from their figures. That's the beauty of having a guy like Dr. MacPhearson join Anglo's board. It gives credibility to huge numbers like these. I have trouble believing these numbers myself. If we use the lowest number ($50 per carat), the one surface outcrop has a potential value of US$500,000,000 or roughly US$12.00 per share. I'm still shaking my head that I can pick up stock at 20 to 25 cents.
