As you so well expressed, the legacy of a loved one does not rest in those 'things' he/she left behind. It rests in the lives that he/she touched, and it sounds as though Fred's legacy will live on long after he took his last earthly steps, in the lives of his family and friends, who will remember him with warm fondness and affection as long as they are living.

So glad to hear that you are doing well, 'pulling yourself up by your boot straps', and prepared to get back into the fray of 'everyday life'. You have been missed, but you have an eternally-reserved seat here, so come back and share your insight and eloquence whenever you feel ready to rejoin us on a regular basis.
