It looks like the payment declines gradually for incomes between 150k and 198k.

I didn't realize the government has the ability to pay each citizen like this. Millions probably moved last year, so they can't send everyone checks. I received a refund directly into a bank account last year, so they could send there, but there has to be some check first (what if I closed the account in 2019?).
