Thanks for the reply and charts. It is hard to conclude anything without a graph and perhaps some smoothing to show turns in earnings estimates... a second derivative thing that is hard to see with tabular data. The idea is absolute levels could say no correlation but rising and falling estimates might correspond to market direction. Even then, it might not show anything useful.
