I rate the failure to recognize the faith of the Islamists as one of main reasons that so many reasonable people don't get it about what we're fighting. I could not agree more. On the other hand, I can't help but think that most people, even most Muslims, would not go so far out of their way to promote their faith. So it's not like we're facing the prospect of the Islamic hordes massing on our borders and invading us just yet, probably never. I don't even see them invading Andalucia or Vienna. These guys just want to blow up embassies and office buildings and apartment complexes and nightclubs here and there and behead the occasional lone truckdriver as a way of getting our attention and scaring us into doing what they want.
