Both were severe hype that wounded a lot of "experts" who had no idea how badly their names were being besmirched. >> In the case of Bre-X ... the "experts" blew it - plain and simple. Many visited Indonesia more than once and none seemed to ask the important or critical questions .... perhaps they _really did not want to know the answers. The brokerage houses made a fortune trading this stock .... it appears to have been in their best interests to not do too much DD. MB
