Well, that's me, I guess... Mr. Politically Incorrect.. :0)

Chiang was corrupt, this there is not doubt about. But he at least recognized that he had to seek popular support for his rulership.

Unfortuately, that long-overdue act came too late to prevent the communists from taking over.
