To ALL, be selective in your put buying today. Market makers are
pumping up the implied volatilities in the puts. Jan 25's are selling
with 80-85% IV's now, vs 60-65% on the 30,35 strike. Might want to
consider buying Aprils where effect is not so bad. I like the
Jan 30/25 put spread. A decent investment of 5/8 point, otherwise,
just buy the Jan 30 or Jan27.5's outright. If this is like October's
expiration, being in a position to sell some OOM puts against a
longer-dated position could be lucrative the day before EPS or before
expiration.
