Very young and very cold blooded Zhukov was, probably, the most talented general of WWII as it was recognized pretty much by everyone. I, personally, would not argue with his decisions. re: still one of the most fascinating battles in WWII how about the very 1st battle at Brest where outnumbered Russian troops held the fortification for months and virtually to the last man - russian alomo.
