After reading this I had to rethink my position: I am now convinced that Bill Gates is in fact the antichrist:

True, only every C++ programmer on the planet. The sooner Visual Basic and every other proprietary language is dead the better. This really is Microsofts' Achilles' heel and the reason is simple: with the language comes the virtual machine and between the machine and the application lies the success or failure an alternative computing environment. How do you spell success? ODBC, TAPI, OPENGL, GDI and so on. Java versions of all of the above are already been implemented or soon will be. What's it all mean? A slow erosion of Microsoft's dominance while they continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
