You must be a student of history. You have presented your thoughts very well. Mine was a simplistic treatise based on my personal experiences growing up as a non-Muslim with Muslim friends in school and college. Some of those friends went to become "mullahs" or religious preachers. Interestingly enough, one of them, who immigrated to Silicon valley, renounced everything including a senior management position in a high tech company and went to preach Islam in Niger. His reason: Niger considers itself a Muslim country and it practices polyandry widely. This according to him is anti-Islamic.
