OT (and sorry for all the OTs - I am completely talked out about the bitter Ampex experience)

Overnight LIBOR rates down around 330 basis points. While the one and 3 month LIBOR are holding steady in the 4+ percent range, the overnight move is dramatic and extremely encouraging.

FWIW Looking at 3 stocks here...have not purchased any yet.....one is, MSFT...looking for south of 20 (may not get it).....and WRI...a Houston real estate investment trust that has raised its dividend every year for the 23 years of its existence. And WRE which has raised its dividend every year for 38 years.

There are bound to be MANY great bargains out there right now.....I have not yet started following the markets the way I did long ago.

John Bogle spoke the other day and made it clear this was the most speculative market of his lifetime.

I will reiterate my opinion that the heart of this calamity is a bunch of EXTREME compulsive gamblers patting each other on the back about their bonuses and imagining they were
"financially sophisticated"... Unfortunately they were paid richly to gamble in a bizarre fashion with what was finally OUR money...Ours whether we were in the market or not.

The subprimes were damaging waves...they turned em into tidal waves headed towards dominos.

How in the hell they temporarily got to the "top" of the financial pyramid I will never know.

Best of Health and Fortune to All

( this really is, in my opinion, a "buying opportunity".....look around)
