i'll tell you something... gruden and shanahan look a lot better.

here's another anecdote; after the first year of holmgren, in a press conference he said, 'well the defense had roughly the same numbers this year as last, so i don't see what people are complaining about.'

well what holmgren was missing there was the fact that erickson's defense was far more exciting to watch - they scored an nfl-record 11 tds or something like that. the idea of 'fan value' simply seems to escape holmgren.

=grin= here's what i really think; the west coast offense 'sucks.' i've never liked it and never will. by now it's stodgy and holmgren can't even see that.

so now holmgren gets to compete with vermeil as well.

one thing holmgren should do is carry 4 QBs; he should get brunell from jax, hobert from indy, and leaf from san diego, and keep huard. that would be awesome... 3 huskies and a cougar.
