Wily ...thanks for the note at the Rande thread.. if anyone can help with this I'd appreciate it

HI ... this is Kevin's wife, here ... Alicia.
I installed the ZIP Parallel Port drive on a Dell Latitude
CPi notebook with Windows NT 4.0 (SP 5). It worked FINE!
Then I tried to use the pass-thru port for my printer, and
my printer didn't work. So I shut down and restarted with
the ZIP drive disconnected and my printer connected, and my
printer worked OK. Then I shut down, disconnected the
printer and reconnected the ZIP drive, powered back up ...
ZIP drive DOES show up as E: , but when I try to access it,
I get the error message: "E:\ is not accessible. The
parameter is incorrect." I have uninistalled and reinstalled the Iomega software and the driver (ppa3nt.sys)
a ga-zillion times to no avail. Parallel port is set to
"bidirectional" (was ECP, but Dell site said to use bi... didn't help though). I suspect that something got left
behind when I uninstalled, so my reinstall isn't "fresh". After uninstalling, "Devices" (in control panel) still
shows "ppa3nt" ... even though I've wiped out all the
related files on the disk.
I'm about to throw the thing out the Window and let
Floyd take care of it!
